Why are you riding with @alpineeveresting?
The past 10 years Cancer has had a significant impact on my family and friends. The TDC family has helped overcome the sense of helplessness I felt watching people you care for battle the disease. The foundation provides a platform give back and when Elly mentioned this project I jumped at the opportunity to raise money for our Indigenous Communities.
Longest ride: 240km 4700 elevation Falls Creek
Favourite cycling moment:
Riding into South West Rocks on the last day of Tour de Cure Australia Sig Tour to see my wife and two boys. We had just completed 900km’s in 6 days as part of a unique 15 person peloton and shared it with now good friends…. Elly, Bec, Mel, Jaq, and 10 other awesome individuals. A lot of which are now joining this adventure.
Funniest on-bike moment: Walking like a cowboy after my first 100k ride.
Greatest cycling achievement:
Finishing 3 peaks after crippling cramps kicked in at the 70km mark. Not a good day in the saddle!
Favourite event: 3 peaks
Favourite endurance fuel: Just started using Perpetuem which seems to work well
Favourite bike snack: peanut butter honey sandwich
Coffee order: Double shot pic
Favourite workout song or music: Liquid Drum & Bass
Favourite climb: Tawonga Gap
How many bikes do you own? 2
Tips for endurance riding: Break the ride into blocks then reset once you’ve reached it.
How do I get into cycling if I’m new to the sport? Just start and figure the rest out later.
How do you juggle work/family/cycling? Smart trainer
What would you say to someone who is contemplating joining our next adventure?
Go on a TDC bunch ride and go from there. You won’t look back!
